NASA's Mike Griffin on C-SPAN

NASA Administrator Michael Griffin appeared on C-SPAN this past Sunday where he discussed the so-called "space gap." He discussed the concern with the retirement of the space shuttle in 2010 while the Orion spacecraft will not fly until 2014. Dr. Griffin discussed finishing the the construction of the space station, NASA budget outlook, and how NASA could narrow the gap from 2010 to June 2013 but did not predict the tact the White House may take. The comprehensive interview is worth the watch.

The CEV would be flying next year if we went with the O'Keefe EELV plan.

Prompt action now could have it flying by December 2010.
