What is a Spaceport?

VIDEO: Whether you’re talking about privately owned and operated rockets to ferry cargo to low earth orbit, or the customers already in line for the opportunity to weightlessly gaze upon Earth from outer space, the “personal space flight revolution” will bring a new element of infrastructure to our communities: Spaceports. Building and operating these new launch facilities will require science, technology, engineering, math, imagination and problem solving skills, according to the newly released documentary by the The Futures Channel.

Will Spaceports be to students today what airports were to their great grandparents? Show your students this "101" on spaceports and find out what they think. Running time 11:45 minutes. Check it out now.
