Republican presidential candidate John McCain called upon the Bush White House yesterday to keep the space shuttle flying after 2010 citing recent tensions between the United States and Russia over the the ethic strife in Georgia."At a minimum, we request that you direct NASA to take no action for at least one year from now that would preclude the extended use of the space shuttle beyond 2010," wrote McCain, Senator Kay Baily Hutchinson (R-Texas) and Congressman David Vitter (R-La.) reports the Orlando Sentinal and Florida Today.
