Texas-based Armadillo Aerospace plans to launch $100,000 space adventure flights from the Upham, New Mexico Spaceport America (Southwest Regional Spaceport) along side the $200,000 Virgin Galactic spaceliner flights in late 2010.The so-called "fishbowl" concept has been under study for a better than a year or so by Armadillo engineers. Passengers will enjoy a 360-degree view of space and the Earth below. A prototype is now being planned for 2009 from the Oklahoma Spaceport (reports Alan Boyle) with commercial applications in 2010 from New Mexico. More from The Houston Chronicle.
