NEA 2010 RF12 on Approach Passed Earth

An astronomer today captured video of near-earth asteroid 2010 RF12 taken about 13 hours before closest approach. Asteroid is moving at 117"/min due south. It is the faint dot that is near the top center at the start of the clip, moving to the bottom center at the end. A satellite crosses the field at the end of the clip. MORE from The Christian Science Monitor and MSNBC.
