Earthzine is hosting its third Virtual Poster Session, featuring 11 projects from high school and university students involved in NASA’s DEVELOP National Program.
Sixty-seven students from across the nation worked on 15 different research projects at DEVELOP’s 11 locations during the 2011 Fall term. Project teams researched topics ranging from wildfire predictive mapping to air quality monitoring, highlighting the capabilities of NASA Earth observations to address local policy issues and enhance decision-making.
Showcased here are the research results from 11 of these teams. Each project includes an abstract and video presentation on the research. The Wise DEVELOP Teams One, Two and Three are featured based upon their international team's inclusion of Mexico and the United States.
Earthzine is offering a cash prize to the team that generates the best overall discussion via questions and comments at the end of each article. The quality of the discussion will be judged by a panel of scientists. Hope you will review the Wise DEVELOP Team 1, 2 and 3 and pose questions.
