Kim Jong Un Assumes New Posts as North Korean Rocket Readied for Launch Soon
North Korea fueled up a rocket Wednesday in preparation for what appeared to be an imminent liftoff while the country's young leader strengthened his power with a new title making him the nation's top political official.
Experts on space science and technology and media persons from different countries Wednesday visited the General Satellite Control and Command Center in Pyongyang in the run-up to the DPRK's launch of the first working satellite. The narration is in Korean. More from CNN.

Meanwhile, North Korean State media says Kim Jong Un is now chairman of the ruling party's Central Military Commission and a standing member of the Political Bureau. The video report notes he has been elected First Secretary of the Workers Party of Korea(WPK). More from AP.
