Virginia Spaceport leader to speak at UVa-Wise on 2013 LADEE moon mission

The University of Virginia's College at Wise students will learn the details of the first moon mission to boost to space from Virginia's Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 from the mission launch director.
 
Zigmond "Zig" Leszcynski, deputy director of the growing commercial spaceport, will provide students and the public with insight as to the growing launch capability and variety of missions set to get underway, including the NASA Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE).
 
The public lecture by the former US Navy air commander will take place on campus at 3:30 p.m. in Room 104 of Smiddy Hall on the campus of the University of Virginia's College at Wise, [Kathy Still].
